is the educational qualification required
for me to get a job?

Should
I have to speak English to get a job?
Fluency in English is very important. You
should be very fluent in reading, writing,
speaking, listening and understanding of
English for getting a job. If you have taken
TOEFL (or) IELTS (or) TSE examination, it
would certainly increase your chances. It
is worth testing your English in any one
of the above English Certification exams. |

How
many years of work experience required for
me to get a job?
Chef applicants must have minimum 5-10 years
of work experience in a supervisory or managerial
level from a reputed organization in your
home country. |

What
kind of establishment I will be working
for?
As in any other recruitment, it is always
not easy to answer in the early stage of
the recruitment process that whether you
will get the job opportunity to work in
a Hotel or Restaurant or Industrial catering
unit. However, we deal and recruit applicants
for three to five star hotels and restaurants.
The employer’s information is thoroughly
verified with British Hospitality Association
and Department of Labour. |

Will
the employer provide me accommodation?
Employers are likely to provide accommodation
for free or a small fee as low as £30
to £50 per week will be deducted from
your monthly paycheck. If there is no live-in
accommodation available, a short-term accommodation
may be provided till you can find accommodation
or you will be assisted in finding suitable
accommodation. There are reasonable accommodation
can be found in the UK. The average expenditure
for an individual will not be more than
£350.00 to £450.00 Pounds depending
on the place where you live and work. There
are many ways to cut down costs and save
in your day-to-day expenditure as well.
Please note that employers do not provide
family accommodation. |

Will
I get meals on duty?
Most hotels/resorts/restaurants/catering
units will have ‘Staff Canteen’,
which will serve two (or) three meals a
day. Meals are usually provided free of
cost and in good quality. |

What
is the likely range of salary package that
I will get?
The salary package is entirely depends on
your professional work experience and education.
Also, it may vary from one employer to the
other, their location, business volume and
clientele. In general, the gross salary
package is usually from £ 13,500 to
£ 19,500 per year, single accommodation
if available, meals on duty, two days weekly
off, 20 days of paid annual holidays and
other benefits as regulated by the Department
of Labour and Work Force. Your salary will
be subject to tax deductions. |

How
long the process will take to get me a job?
If everything goes well as planned and expected,
it will take 4 to 6 months for you to get
a job. Because, we have to place the applicants
who are registered with us before you did.
Also, occasional delay may occur at times.

How
many years work permit will I get?
The Work Permit duration is entirely depends
on the Home Office, which issues the work
permit. However in general, if you are a
Hotel Management Graduate (or) Diploma Holder
with 3 (or) more years of work experience
similar to a Supervisory (or) Manger level,
you will most likely qualify for 2 to 5
years Work Permit.

am working as Jr. Sous Chef in a Well-known
Hotel group in my country. Will I be able
to get the same job position?
This is one of the very frequently asked
questions by the applicants. To be very
upfront, employers in the UK expect applicants
from overseas to start with a step lower
to their present job position and move to
the way up by proving with their day to
day performance. The chances are great if
you prove yourself in your job and your
capabilities to handle the business efficiently
and professionally. In general, applicants
who don’t have any work experience
in the UK will have to start a step down
in their present job position. |

I have to send my original documents for
registering?
Don’t send original educational, work
experience, and other relevant skill certificates
and your passport for registering with EuroStar
Recruitment. EuroStar Recruitment only requires
copies of the above said documents in clear
and good condition to read and understand.

Why
the reference letters are important to get
in required format?
To issue a Work Permit, the UK Home Office
requires two Reference Letters as per the
reference letter format. That is why it
is very important to get reference letters
in the required format. Also, at times,
the employers may ask us to provide Reference
Letters before the telephonic interview
can take place. In general, Reference Letters
will increase your chances of getting selected
by the employer and also it strengthens
your own candidature and eligibility to
obtain necessary Work Permit for you. |

Do
I need to show any bank guarantee for getting
UK Entry Clearance Visa?
You are not required to provide any source
of fund (or) financial guarantee such as
bank balance, fixed assets to support your
entry clearance visa application. But, if
the Embassy asks you to provide your financial
status, you will have to provide as they
ask for it. Need not to be only a bank balance
(or) fixed assets statement from an accountant.
At times, the embassy may ask you to provide
monthly paychecks for last six months of
your current (or) previous employment. |

Who
will be paying for my airfare, Visa and
Medical Check-up fees?
The applicant is responsible for airfare,
visa and medical fees. The company (or)
the employer is not responsible any cost
involved directly (or) indirectly that may
arise due to relocating (or) moving to the
place of employment. |

How
much will cost me for Airfare, Visa Fees
and Medical Check-up Fees?
The approximate costing for Airfare, Entry
Clearance Visa Fees, and Medical Check-up
Fees is as follows in Indian Rupees:
Airfare : 22,000
Visa Fees
: 18,500
Medical Fees : 03,000
Cash to Carry : 16,500 (about
£200 UK Pounds for first month expenses)
The above costing is only estimation and
may vary due to various reasons. It is our
best advice to check the fees and other
charges at the time of your departure.

Where
will I get the Police Clearance Certificate?
If you are living in your home country,
you can obtain the police clearance certificate
from your local police station or regional
passport office. If you are living in a
foreign country, you can obtain the police
clearance certificate from your country’s
embassy or consulate general office. Original
police clearance certificate is required
and it must have been issued within the
last six months.

Will
there be refund if my work permit application
or visa has been refused?
If your work permit application or Entry
Clearance Visa application has been rejected
for any reason, we will deduct administrative
fee and the remaining balance will be refunded
within 28 days. We will give you detailed
‘Terms & Conditions’ agreement.
It will provide more details regarding fees
and refunds. You should read and be clear
about the fee, payments and refunds before
registration. |
